Martin Scorsese will mentor Dante Alighieri in biopic of the poet

Record holder for nominations in the Best Director category at the Oscars, Martin Scorsese also takes risks in acting and will be the mentor of Dante Alighieri in In the Hand of Dante(In Dante’s Handin free translation), biopic of the poet.

The information was revealed by the director of the novelty, Julian Schnabel (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, At Eternity’s Gate), in an interview with Variety. According to the director, the character of Scorsese will mentor Dante while the poet writes his main work, The divine Comedy.
