Apple Music this week launched a monthly version of Replay, a streaming service that lets users check their playback history. According to information from Engadget, the annual playlist will still be available, but the new option will offer more specific data and will immediately put an end to curiosity about the most listened to sounds, genres or artists.
In addition to the most listened to songs of the month, Replay will also separate a Top 5 for each category, highlighting each most consulted song, album, genre and artist in the period. By tapping “see all milestones”, you will also be able to view this data in more detail, with the dates each record was achieved.
The experience will be close to what we saw on Spotify, as it will bring the end-of-year compilation into “surprise” mode. However, it’s worth mentioning that, unlike Apple Music, rival streaming doesn’t yet offer a monthly compiled option, so, for some, Replay’s annual results may not be that surprising.

At Replay 2023, Apple Music announced Taylor Swift as Artist of the Year, with 65 of her songs reaching the top of Apple Music’s Global Daily Top 100 list, more than any other artist. Additionally, she was the most listened to artist on the platform, setting the record for the most listeners in a single year.
