Bringing Cate Blanchett as protagonist Lilith
A few days after the publication of the first images of the film based on Borderlands, the first official trailer has been released in which we can take a closer look at all the main characters, coming directly from the game itself.
It is almost impossible to avoid comparisons with the films of the Guardians of the Galaxy saga, as the video has a very similar feeling to that of the films directed by James Gunn, with the impression that director Eli Roth may have chosen to follow this path with Borderlands.
In the trailer we can see Cate Blanchett as the protagonist Lilith, Jamie Lee Curtis as the scientist Dr. Tannis, who is an NPC in all three main Borderlands games, Kevin Hart as Roland, who is a playable soldier in many games, and Jack Black who created the charismatic Claptrap, considered the franchise’s mascot. The main cast also includes Ariana Greenblatt as demolitions expert Tiny Tina, who has her own game Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and Florian Munteanu as Krieg, playable via DLC in the second game.
