It took such a crazy project to pay tribute to the Beatles on the big screen. The Fabulous Fab will soon have the rights to not one, but four biopics of Peter Jackson’s feature-length documentary Get Back , made from many archival images. All are directed by Sam Mendes and each focuses on one of the band members.
The idea is to tell the story of the quartet before they broke up in 1970, focusing in turn on John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison, whose artists have yet to be announced. All four films will hit theaters in 2027, and it has not yet been confirmed whether or how far apart the releases will be.

After two James Bond films, the director of American Beauty tackles other icons of British culture more broadly and ambitiously than Nowhere Boy, which starred Aaron Taylor-Johnson as a young John Lennon. And there’s no doubt that the casting of his four Beatles feature films is likely to be talked about in the coming months.
