The film hits the screens at Cine Marquise on March 14th and has pre-sales starting on 03/03
O Cinema Marquise will display “Shark”classic of Steven Spielberg, starting March 14th. With a new project called “Classics on the Marquise” aims to bring back great cinematographic achievements to film lovers. Films like “Pulp Fiction”, “A Dream of Freedom”, “2001: A Space Odyssey”, “Psycho”, the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, “City of God” have also appeared on Marquise’s screens.
“Shark” is a true classic of the thriller and horror genre in cinema, winning three Oscars and leaving its mark on countless other productions. The plot narrates an incident of attack by a great white shark in the region. The city’s mayor aims to stifle the media, while the sheriff (Roy Scheider), together with a fish expert (Richard Dreyfuss) and a fisherman (Robert Shaw), set out to confront the threat.
The film involves a complex production, given the technological limitations at the time of filming and the restricted budget made it much more remarkable. Critics still consider it one of the best cinematographic examples about sharks. O Cinema Marquise will present “Shark” in Room 1, which has a Dolby Atmos sound system, recognized by Sheet Tab as the best in São Paulo in two consecutive years (2022 and 2023).
