Will there be a second season of Baby Bandito?

At the time of writing this article, Netflix had not yet officially announced, let alone revealed, any information on the renewal of the Chilean series. However, despite being launched on January 31, 2024, it is already a success and has even reached the top 10 of the most watched series of the week in Brazil.

Despite all its success, the fact that Baby Bandito is a production that tells a true story makes it very likely that there will not be a second season, because series like this usually end in just one season, like a miniseries.

However, in the event of a renewal, Netflix could continue the series by adding more fictional events, but moving away from the documentary aspect.

What was the Santiago airport robbery?

In 2014, eight people disguised as Santiago International Airport employees invaded the airport and robbed an armored vehicle carrying cash in northern Chile.

According to the country’s civil aviation regulations, the security team guarding the vehicle was unarmed. The thieves thus took advantage of this vulnerability and stole the money without having to fire a single shot or even enter into conflict. They managed to steal nearly $11 million from Brink’s bond truck.
