The Ibovespa closed virtually flat on Monday, with Vale’s rise offsetting negative pressure from the collapse of Eletrobras and Petrobras, as brokers prepare for monetary policy meetings in Brazil and abroad this week.
The reference index of the Brazilian stock exchange, Ibovespa, closed with a negative change of 0.02%, at 126,712.89 points, according to preliminary data. At the high of the day it reached 127,540.21 points. At the minimum, at 126,272.19 points.
The financial volume amounts to 16.9 billion reais before final adjustments.
