WARNING, THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR IT’S ALL BEGINNING THIS THURSDAY EVENING ON TF1! If you’d rather know nothing, go ahead.
On Thursday, March 21, everything starts here…
Mateo does not recognize his homosexuality
At the Leonine house, Matteo is far from Jude. And for good reason, she’s mad at him for kicking her out the day before when they were about to kiss. Judy explains to him that this situation brings back too many bad memories. She can’t be with a man who doesn’t admit he’s gay. “I don’t want to repeat what I went through.”.
The atmosphere in the kitchen is very tense. Lionel, noticing that something abnormal was happening between the two boys, tries to lighten the atmosphere with a joke. Suddenly, Jude tells Mateo to be a little less generous. This remark displeases the young man, who replies: “You still decide everything, don’t you?” Lionel witnessed the scene with great surprise.
A few minutes later, Lionel asks Jude to explain. He understood that Mateo had admitted his homosexuality and that he did not agree with his sexual orientation. Judy tells him it’s more complicated than that. She tells her friend that they almost kissed yesterday, but she can’t bear the thought of hiding it.
Back at the Auguste Armani Institute, Jude and Lionel were congratulated by Chef Olivia Listrac. However, he has bad news to tell them: Mateo has decided to end their cooperation. Judy and Lionel are shocked, especially since this decision risks a rating problem with Rose Latour. Judy informs the chef that she and Mateo will explain and find a solution.
Mehdi declares war on Tessier
Mehdi receives a call from a journalist asking for an interview. He confides in Leonard and Malik that he’s not sure if he wants to be talked about in the media again. And for good reason, he doesn’t want to steal the spotlight from Hortense. Two boys advise him not to miss this chance.
Later, Lionel and Malik give Hortense the recipe they revisited, with Mehdi’s agreement. He is angry when he discovers that Mehdi made this decision without talking to him: Who is the head of this brigade? If in doubt, contact me, not the pastry chef. He then attacks Mehdi: “Teisier was right, I’ve never seen someone with an ego like you.”
Mehdi asks Teissier to explain. The latter replies that he told Hortense that he would not let her “eat”. Then the director of the institute adds: “Do you want to be the center of attention? Find your own project and stop spoiling your spouse.”
Finally, Mehdi agrees to answer the journalist’s interview. She praises her husband, chef Hortens Rochemont. A reporter asks him if he considers Chef Teissier a mentor, and Mehdi replies that he’s a good director now, adding: “That’s what he does best.”
Leonard, who witnesses the exchange, tells Mehdi that he may have let Teisier go a little too far. He warns her, but Mehdi fully accepts what she says.
Antoine made a mistake
Ian is summoned to Emmanuel Teissier’s office. Because she refuses to confess, Antoine puts pressure on her: “You accused my son, attacked those around me (…) I should have filed a complaint”. Finally, Ian breaks the silence: “Kirill, he hit me, abused me almost every day, I just wanted it to stop”. At the time when Miriel was the director of his colleague, Kirill was his favorite.
Teissier and Guino call the students. Antoine is missing, which intrigues the director of the institute. Finally, he begins his speech by letting everyone know that Ian organized his own attack, adding that he has decided to press charges against Ian. Thus, Antoine and Suleiman will be able to return to the facility.
Meanwhile, Antoine visits Cyril, his former student. He asks if Damien Pelois, aka Ian, really bullied him when he was in college. The young man answers: “It was a kid’s thing, it was for laughs”. He explains that he lied so as not to disappoint his parents. Antoine is outraged by this announcement, realizing that he made a grave mistake by kicking Ian out when he was a teenager.
Antoine informs Penelope of his discovery. He feels guilty and wants to make amends for helping Jan: “If I don’t do this, I won’t be able to look at myself in the mirror.” Penelope is proud of her.
Antoine immediately goes to Teissier’s office to ask for his help: “I want the institute to withdraw the complaint against Ian, I don’t want to condemn him. Will Teissier accept this request?
Suleiman returned to the Auguste Armand Institute. Carla is overjoyed, and Berenice and Tom apologize for doubting her innocence. Souleymane replies that he just wants to enjoy his return.
At the end of the day, Antoine finds his son in the park. She informs him that she asked Teyssier to file a complaint against Ian. Suleiman immediately reacts: “It’s always like that with you, others come before me.”
