Irish Wish: Do you dream of traveling to Ireland like Lindsay Lohan? This is where the Netflix movie was filmed!

Since its release, the romantic comedy Irish Wish, directed by Lindsay Lohan, has been at the top of Netflix’s ratings – in France it took first place. The film marks new success for the actor – who has signed a three-feature deal with the platform – entering the top ten in 86 countries worldwide.

Filmed in Ireland, but where exactly?

Although Irish Wish has no Irish actors in the cast, the team actually filmed on the Emerald Isle, more specifically in Wicklow, on the east coast, a country known for its vast wilderness and magnificent greenery.

The scene in which Maddie (Lindsay Lohan) expresses her desire was filmed in Lough Tay. This space is unfortunately not open to the public as it is owned by the Guinness family, one of the most powerful Irish families.

Same settings as Harry Potter

The stately Kennedy home where Maddy is staying for the wedding ceremony is also at Killruddery House in County Wicklow, a 17th-century building straight out of Bridgerton World. Other scenes were also filmed on the Powerscourt property, which is surrounded by 19 acres of gardens.

When Maddie and James (Ed Splers) are looking for the perfect location for their wedding photos, they find themselves at the Cliffs of Moher. This impressive and very cinematic place has been filmed many times, for example in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. As for the small town seen in the film, it is located in Westport, a very touristic area with its many bridges and typical Irish houses.
