From 2022, fans of Euphoria waiting for the third season of the series. The Hollywood strikes ended up delaying the production, which was only confirmed for 2025. In recent days, however, rumors have emerged that the series would be cancelled. Now HBO has decided to officially comment on the situation and announced the postponement of the new episodes.

Euphoria is one of HBO Max’s most successful series, being the most watched streaming series in Latin America after its debut. The production received at least 16 Emmy nominations, giving HBO the first position in terms of nominations (for a total of 140).
The production also earned its protagonist, Zendaya, four nominations for the same award: a record for the actress, who became the youngest producer to be nominated.
The series follows a group of high school students dealing with various issues of their age, such as drugs, sex, the search for identity, trauma, social media behavior and friendships. The focus of the story is Rue Bennett (Zendaya), who, due to drug addiction, faces family and school adjustment problems.
In addition to Zendaya, names such as Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Nika King, Storm Reid and Austin Abrams are expected to return in the new episodes.
However, Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat Hernandez in the first two seasons, has already confirmed that she will not return for the series’ next year. Another question mark concerns the future of drug dealer Fezco, played by actor Angus Cloud, who died last year.
