As an adaptation of the first six books of the nine-novel series by James S. A. Corey (actually a pseudonym for the duo Daniel Abraham AND Ty Frank), The Expanse is about political and human conflicts in the solar system. In the 24th century, humanity has long spread beyond Earth.
