The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story is a standalone story and does not continue the events of 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Sony Pictures released, this Wednesday (27), the short The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story (The Spider Within: A Story from the Spider-Versein free translation), which is part of the universe that began in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versefeature film from 2018.
In the new story, MilesMorales (Shameik Moore, Dope: A Dangerous Slip) deals with a panic attack brought on by the pressure of balancing his life with his family, as a student and, of course, as a superhero Spider man. Watch below:

The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story is an independent production and is not linked to the sequence of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Versewhich hits theaters in 2023. The story of MilesMorales will be continued in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Versewhich was due to premiere in 2024, but was postponed and has not yet received a new release date.
