Because of this success, Amazon MGM Studios has confirmed a sequel, where Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively will reprise their roles. Additionally, Paul Feig will return as director and producer, along with Laura Fischer.
While Jessica Sharzer, who adapted Darcey Bell’s novel of the same name for the first installment, has also been confirmed to pen the script for the sequel.
Next, Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively) head to the beautiful Italian island of Capri for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman, which is expected to involve “betrayal and a murder,” according to reports from the “Deadline” portal.
Production on “A Simple Favor 2” is scheduled to begin in spring 2024, suggesting the film could be released in 2025, but its exact release date, which will be via Prime Video, has yet to be confirmed. which is available in 240 countries.
