Host and comedian Howard Stern appears to have accidentally revealed a secret Marvel project for Doctor Doom.
All because of an open microphone during a radio show hosted by Stern, who spoke of being involved in a project involving villain Victor von Doom, Doctor Doom.
During a recent episode of the “Howard Stern Show” radio show, Stern ended up talking too much with the microphone accidentally open as the show went on commercial break. Thus, it was possible to hear a conversation that should have been left without the knowledge of the public.
There, Stern said he will play Doctor Doom in an unnamed Marvel project. “They’re reviewing the schedule with me, and it’s going to suck… I told you, I’ll do Doctor Fate. This is the deal. But trust me, I’m very angry about it … I called Robert Downey Jr. and asked him about acting techniques … You have a number for Jon [Favreau]? ” Stern said.
The character of Doctor Doom appeared in three “Fantastic Four” films between 2005 and 2015 and now, with Disney property rights with the 20th century acquisition, he may even be involved in the MCU. Recently, fans have found indications that “Moon Knight” may have indicated the arrival of the evil Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Also, a new “Fantastic Four” is in the works, so Doctor Doom is likely to appear in the MCU very soon, but it is not yet known when and in what production the character will appear.
However, nothing in Howard Stern’s speech confirms that the project he’s involved in is anything within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, nor will it actually be a live-action product. It’s possible that Stern is talking about an animation project, one of the storytelling podcasts produced by Marvel, or even a video game in which he could potentially voice the character.
One of those possibilities is the most likely for such a secret project, after all, Doctor Doom is a pretty iconic villain and Marvel will likely invest in a bigger name for the role in the character’s future return to live-action.
