At the institute, Hortense tells Vic about her argument with Mehdi the day before. The latter comes to see her to try to talk, but Hortense rebuffs her. Vicki emphasizes that she was very eager to help by taking care of the tasting. This is not the point of Hortense, who begins to believe that her father was right: Mehdi is not trustworthy, unlike Anthony. Vicki still believes that her sister’s ex is a careerist who only wants to replace her father as the head of the clinic.

At the atelier, Hortense berates her crew for calling Mehdi to make a different dessert than she planned.
