The businessman went to the location with his girlfriend, a friend, Marcus Vinicius Machado Rocha, 22, and his girlfriend. According to the broadcaster, the restaurant’s note states that food and nine drinks had been consumed hours before the accident: eight drinks consisting of whiskey with liqueur, lemon and Angostura syrup, and a vodka caipirinha. In total, more than R$600 was spent.
After staying at the establishment for three hours, the two couples went to a poker house. According to the statements collected by the Civil Police, they spent around 2 and a half hours in the gambling house, until an argument broke out on the way out.
Marcus and his girlfriend, Juliana, told authorities that Fernando had been drinking and that the argument was over him not driving because he was “impaired.” However, the driver of the luxury car and his girlfriend said that he had not been drinking. Giovana stated that they had an agreement: when one would drink, the other would stay sober. Furthermore, she stated that they were arguing because the businessman did not want to leave.

After leaving the plant, the friends followed him in one of the cars, while Fernando and Marcos were in the Porsche. About five minutes later, the crash that killed Ornaldo Viana occurred on Avenida Salim Farah Maluf, in the east of Sao Paulo.
He offered money to the family
Also according to TV Globo, the court ordered the payment of R$500,000 for possible compensation for damages to the victims of the accident, Marcus, Fernando’s friend, and Ornaldo, who was driving the Sandero.
The businessman’s defense also offered a minimum monthly wage as financial help for the app driver’s family Folha de S. Remember the accident
Around 2am on Sunday 31 March, the Porsche driven by Fernando collided with the Sandero driven by App driver Ornaldo Viana, on Avenida Salim Farah Maluf, in Sao Paulo. The young man was traveling at high speed along the road where the speed limit is 50 km/h.

While overtaking he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the rear of the Sandero. The driver was taken to Tatuapé hospital with cardiopulmonary arrest. He died of “multiple trauma”.
The military police officers who intervened in the accident did not subject the businessman to a breathalyzer. The conduct of the officers is analyzed, according to the Public Security Secretariat of São Paulo (SSP-SP). In a statement, the ministry said the military police had opened an investigation and “if failure to comply with operational procedures is proven, police officers will be held responsible.”
