Little by little, the new Superman film is taking shape. Actor Pruitt Taylor Vince has been confirmed in the role of Jonathan Kent, the father of the protagonist Clark. The film, which will be the first film in the new expanded universe of DC films, is scheduled for release in July next year.
In the comics, Kent is Clark’s father on Earth and is responsible, along with Martha, for finding Kal-El as a child on the ship from Krypton, the superhero’s home planet.
The film will show the Man of Steel at the beginning of his heroic career, as he tries to establish himself in a world that already has other superheroes. The information comes from Omelette.
In recent weeks, director James Gunn revealed the costume that the protagonist will wear (see below). Furthermore, he announced that the film will have a title Supermanand nothing more Superman: Legacy. He explained that the change occurred after the final version of the script was completed.
