The Terminal List with Chris Pratt: Why a series and not a movie?

Before we find him in cinemas on July 13 as Star-Lord in the new Marvel Studios production Thor: Love And Thunder, it is Chris Pratt who is talking about him as the main actor of the series. Known for his roles in Everwood and Parks & Recreation, the American actor premieres a new series on Amazon Prime Video this Friday, July 1, titled The Terminal List.

Adapted from Jack Carr’s bestselling novel of the same name (unpublished in France), the series tells the story of an elite American soldier who returns home after a dangerous mission that destroyed his entire team. Suffering from post-traumatic syndromes that affect his memory and his sense of reality, the latter discovers that he is the target of a mysterious organization…

The Terminal List lead actor Chris Pratt is also producing. was especially involved in the production of the program, so the latter was questioned by our colleagues Soon On the reasons that led him to adapt the novel not for the cinema, but as an eight-episode series:

You can’t tell a story with emotions and such developed characters in an hour and a half, at best maybe two or two and a half hours. Yeah, I really like this TV format. I love the emergence of this episodic format when it has the same production quality as a feature film.

It seems like a long time ago when it seemed all but impossible for a box-office star to land a role on television, save for a flashy appearance in an episode or two. As for the terminal list, I bet the series will have the equivalent success of The Tomorrow War, the action feature with Chris Pratt that went live last year due to Covid (and a sequel is currently in development)!

A list of terminals to follow every Friday exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
