Turn it up, it’s Rock’n’Roll, with Johnny Massaro, debuts in theaters

New feature is based on the story of Luiz Antonio Mello, who created the first radio station entirely dedicated to rock in the 1980s

Turn it up, it’s Rock’n’Rolldirected by Tomás Portella (Unclean), hits cinemas across Brazil starting this Thursday, April 25th. The novelty is based on the autobiographical book The Cursed Wavein Luiz Antonio Mellocharacter from Johnny Massaro (The Shepherd and the Guerrilla) in the long.

In history, we follow the birth of Rádio Fluminense FM, “Maldita”, created by Luiz in 1982, with the support of his friend Samuel Wainer Filho (George Sauma, Take it give it here). The production shows the day-to-day life of a group of young dreamers, who decide to go against the radio stations’ nonsense at the time and create the first Brazilian station entirely dedicated to rock.

In addition to Johnny Massaro It is George Saumathe cast of Turn it up, it’s Rock’n’Roll still has Marina Provenzzano (Cursed Saint), Oran Figueiredo (Endless Duty), Silvio Guindane (Go Que Cola), João Vitor Silva (End), Bella Camero (Lov3), Saulo Arcoverde (The kitchen) It is Flora Diegues (The Great Mystical Circus), in one of his last roles before passing away in 2019.
