did you know
2 sequels and 1 remake
Robocop had two sequels: the first, Robocop 2 (1990) by Irwin Kershner, with Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Dan O’Herlihy and Robert Dock, and the second, Robocop 3 (1993) by Fred Dekker, still with Nancy Allen and Robert Dock, but in which Robert John Burke replaced Peter Weller. In addition, a remake soberly titled RoboCop, directed by Brazilian Jose Padilla and Swede Joel Kinnaman, saw the light of day in 2014.
influence
One of the film’s screenwriters, Edward Neumeyer, came up with the idea for Robocop after working on Blade Runner (1982), the characters that Harrison Ford chases were also machine-men.
Car music
The Terminator music (the arrival of the Terminator in our world) is in Robocop. This is from director Paul Verhoeven on a James Cameron film. A common point between the two characters: these are machines with a human face.
