Jake Gyllenhaal in his first TV role? It’s coming soon and we have pictures

Jake Gyllenhaal is in deep trouble! That’s what we can see with the first images from the Apple TV+ mini-series Presumed Innocent, a new creation from the prolific David E. from Kelly. It is an adaptation of Scott Turow’s book, which has already been brought to the screen by Alan J. Pakula in 1990, starring Harrison Ford.

The actor plays Rusty Sabic, the chief assistant district attorney in Chicago, who has all the trappings of a successful, balanced life: a good job, a loving wife, Barbara (played by Ruth Negga) and a family. But Sabic is irresistibly attracted to his colleague Caroline (Renate Reinsve – Julie’s Revelation (Chapter 12)).

The trailer reveals what happens next: As Rusty and Carolyn begin this romance that opens things up with the Chief Deputy District Attorney, he becomes more and more obsessed with her. Then everything takes a dramatic turn: Carolyn is murdered and her affair with Rusty makes her the prime suspect.
