The Civil Protection of Porto Alegre issued a new alarm this Thursday indicating the possibility of heavy rain until next week
On Thursday night 2nd, the city hall declared a state of public disaster in Porto Alegre. The tool classifies the disaster as of great intensity (level III), taking into account the parameters established by ordinance no. 260/2022 of the Ministry of Regional Development.
In practice, the decree – based on the opinions of the municipal Foundation for Civil Protection, Social Assistance and Citizenship (Fasc) and state decree 57,596 – authorizes the administration to use all resources and volunteers to assist the population and restore services.
