Rating 4.2 out of 5: This is the best sci-fi series of 2023 and the sequel is going to be impressive!

It is one of the best science fiction series of recent years and it has won viewers. AlloCiné community members gave it an excellent rating of 4.2 out of 5 for the first season released in 2023.

Its critical and public success allowed it to be one of Apple TV+’s flagship series and, above all, to quickly receive a second round of episodes. And this sequel, which promises to be even more impressive, may come sooner than expected!

Is the sequel to “Silo” better than the first season?

Created by Graham Yost, who cut his teeth on Band of Brothers, Band of Brothers: Pacific Rim and Justified, Silo is a dystopia that plunges us into a future where Earth is being destroyed by toxic air.

The few survivors are trapped in a giant 144-story underground silo and live in a society that is tasked with following a series of very strict rules designed to protect them.

Citizens who break the law are sent outside the cabin, sentenced to death in the atmosphere they breathe there. However, slowly, the idea that leaders are lying about what is happening outside is gaining ground…

After the success of the first season of this series led by Rebecca Ferguson, a sequel is expected. Despite being delayed due to strikes last year, Silo season 2 is set to debut earlier than expected by Hugh Hoy, author of the dystopian short story trilogy of the same name from which the series was adapted.

Indeed, the writer was able to see the pictures of Silo Season 2 and he shared his feelings a few days ago on social networking site Threads, as reported. Screen ratio : “I saw the second season and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen”.

And when a netizen informed him that fans will have to wait a long time, with an estimated release date of 2025, Hugh Howey quipped that “It might not be that long.”. So, can we hope for a Silo season 2 later in the year?

Season 1 of “Silo” is available on Apple TV+, the platform and via myCANAL.
