Kelly meets Rosette and Lenglart
In Brittany, Teissier, Kelly, Salome, Maya and Lionel finally arrive at the hotel they will be staying at during the Coupe de France – Chef Rosset’s hotel, where Laetitia worked as a maid before she was dismissed as dirty.
Kelly soon runs into him in the hall. The latter greets him, expressing his joy at seeing him again and wanting to see him in the kitchen. Kelly is relieved that there is no tension. Chef Rossetti then takes him to Chef Lenglart, who represents the Northern Region during the competition. Kelly feels completely destabilized in front of him.
A few minutes later, everyone is out. As President of the Jury, Chef DeLabel explains the competition with Chef Rosset. During 3 weeks, six brigades will compete in four events. The winner will be fully funded to open their restaurant. The first test takes place the next day: the contestants will have to choose what they want to cook based on what they caught that morning. To make matters worse, they will be charged with a randomly chosen common ingredient in their recipes.
At the end of the presentation, Lenglart approaches Kelly to congratulate him. However, he stresses that you need to have a lot of confidence to dare to enter the competition, risking losing your place in the institute if you end up being eliminated. If Teissier intervenes to keep Lenglart away from Kelly, he is immediately overcome with stress.
While walking on the beach with Lionel, Kelly admits that Lenglart has managed to make her suspicious by reminding her of everything she’s risking. Her boyfriend is there to reassure her of her skills. At the same time, Leticia surprises her daughter by joining them. A delighted Kelly tells him everything that happened between her confrontation with Chef Rossette, which went very well, and being one of Chef Lenglart’s competitors.
In the evening, Salome and Maya prepare for the opening cocktail of the competition. Kelly is the only one who doesn’t want to go out, preferring to go to bed early so she can do her homework the next day. Out of solidarity, Salome and Maya decide to stay with him. As Tessier picks them up, he admits he’s proud of their decision. He, in turn, will go to a cocktail party.
Leticia and Zachary join Jasmine and Jim to go to a cocktail party together. But upon seeing Chef Rossetti, Leticia panics. He claims he forgot something in his room.
Thus, he waits to speak alone with Chef Rosset in the hallway. When he discovers her staying at the hotel, he seems particularly insolent. Laetitia is just trying to ensure that her daughter is not punished because she is angry with her, which Chef Rossetti confirms. Laetitia adds that Kelly doesn’t know the whole story. He relies on Chef Rossetti’s discretion in this matter. When the latter calls it a “dark rumour”, Laetitia’s blood boils: she pins him to the wall. At that moment, Kelly walks into the hallway. As Chef Rossetti leaves, Leticia tries to explain. But Kelly doesn’t want to hear anything: her mother has no interest in losing the Coupe de France, or she’ll never forgive her…
The new teacher leaves no one out in the cold
At the park, Carla discusses with Rose the new pastry teacher: Alice Weissberg, whom she has already named Alice “Iceberg” for her lack of affect. Rose confirms that her new colleague is quite special. Carla suspects him of being under Cardone’s influence, to which Rose reveals that she doesn’t like him very much.
In class, Alice is very attentive to detail: she takes David back to his cakes and advises him to turn on the eggs more slowly, and then suggests that Carla turn on the appliance from the beginning because her bain-marie was a few degrees off. very hot If the young girl believes that these are just details, Alice on the contrary confirms that it is necessary when baking.
After class, Carla goes to the studio to replicate Alice’s dessert recipe, following her advice, only to prove that they aren’t changing anything. David joins her to check in with her. But after tasting, they are forced to admit that Alice’s recipe is much better than Carla’s.
In turn, Rose and Clotilda want Alice to discuss it with Cardone to emphasize that her behavior is destabilizing for the students. But the director of the institute is not interested. The most important thing for him is the educational aspect, not the sentimental aspect.
Cardon finds a new target
In the vegetable garden, Hortense instructs the first years to draw inspiration from plants and vegetables to create appetizers. Cardone arrives to check the course, which destabilizes Hortense. The principal also observes what the students are doing. Leonard is intrigued by the elegance of certain leaves and plans to use their movement to inspire a recipe. An incredulous Cardone is waiting for him around the bend during the tasting.
In the kitchen, Cardone tastes every student’s plate. He describes Berenice as uncouth and uninteresting. When it’s Leonardo’s turn to make a spring salad in a Parmesan shell, Cardone calls it nonsense. Leonard calls him a witch. Hearing this, Cardone decides to punish him and orders him to make 300 shells by the next day.
While Leonardo carries out his punishment, Hortense subtly questions Cardone’s methods. But the latter makes him realize that there is no contradiction in his interest.
