“Shogun: The Glorious Saga of Japan” has been renewed for two more seasons

Shogun: The Glorious Saga of Japan It premiered earlier this year and is already a huge success. The series became the most watched in the history of the FX channel in the United States and also had a good response in Brazil. As a result, the work will have two more seasons.

The streaming service Hulu and the FX channel have announced the renewal of the series for a second and third year. The Disney platform revealed this Thursday (16) that it is collaborating with the expansion of the estate of the author James Clavell Shogun for two more seasons.

The studio emphasized that both commissioned new years are in development, which means that the order of the episodes depends solely on the texts that will be delivered by the authors. A writers’ room is being set up to explore a sequel to Shogun beyond Clavell’s original novel.

The series’ co-creators and executive producers, Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo, producer Michaela Clavell and protagonist Hiroyuki Sanada, already confirmed for a second year, are all involved in the development. There is no information yet on the release date of the second season.
