Matheus Cunha and Léo Ortiz replace Rossi and Léo Pereira. Furthermore, Allan remains in the starting lineup in place of Pulgar
Flamengo trained at Ninho do Urubu this Tuesday morning (21/05) and finished preparing for the match against Amazonas, in the Copa do Brasil. Tite, thus, defined the starters of the match and indicated changes in the defensive system.
Flamengo’s lineup
Matheus Cunha and Léo Ortiz replace Rossi and Léo Pereira respectively. Furthermore, Allan starts on the pitch as a starter. After all, Erick Pulgar is still off the pace after recovering from a sprained left ankle.
The entry of Matheus Cunha is a tactical option for Tite. The coach’s goal is to continue playing the role of goalkeeper in Copa do Brasil matches. The choice of Léo Ortiz, however, had a particular reason. After all, Léo Pereira has an injury to his left thigh and cannot take the field.
Flamengo’s probable lineup includes Matheus Cunha, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Ortiz and Ayrton Lucas; Allan, De la Cruz, Arrascaeta and Gerson; Everton Cebolinha and Pedro. The number 9, among other things, is experiencing discomfort in the adductor of his right thigh and may not play the full 90 minutes. Gabigol therefore has a great chance of being called into action during the match.
In fact, Amazonas and Flamengo will face each other this Wednesday (22/05), at 9.30pm, at the Arena da Amazônia, in the second leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. The first leg ended 1-0 for the Rossoneri at the Maracanã. Tite’s men, therefore, only need a draw to qualify.
