It’s no surprise that the first episode of Bridgerton Season 3, available May 16 on Netflix, is a hit. Fans were finally able to see the birth of one of the couples’ relationships most anticipated by readers of the Julia Quinn novels from which the series is based.
The romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) finally takes shape and the two best friends fall in love despite the obstacles they face.

We have to wait until the end of the fourth episode of this first part for Colin to finally confess his love to Penelope in the carriage that takes them home after the ball, where young Bridgerton prevents Penelope from accepting Lord Debling’s marriage proposal.
And this scene is already iconic. And for good reason, the scene has a very sensual twist, as after exchanging kisses, the two lovers are overcome by their passion before arriving in front of Bridgerton’s house for their first moment of intimacy. . Colin comes out there and asks her to marry him.
