As we’ve seen throughout the Netflix series ‘Brigerton’, new characters are introduced, some of which don’t even appear in the books. This is the case of one directly related to Eloise and we will explain it to you.
Theo, the character who changed Eloise’s story in the ‘Brigerton’ series.
In season two, the story of Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma was told, but another romance caught the eye: that of Eloise Bridgerton and Theo Sharpe.
Recall that the young woman has remained reluctant to marry, as she maintains that it is a social imposition that she does not wish to follow. However, she begins to experience feelings of love when she meets Theo, a young lower-class man who works in a printing press.
When Eloise visits the place and is treated by him, they both begin to realize that they share many common tastes, including literature, which creates an instant spark. However, acting against her feelings, she rejects him, arguing that her family could never accept their relationship, and leaves.
While this relationship may have been gradually forgotten, with the release of ‘Brigerton 3’, people began to wonder what had happened to this male character and if he would end up being Eloise’s husband.
Who will be Eloise Bridgerton’s husband, according to the books?
The short answer is that Theo doesn’t exist in Julia Quinn’s books, so he doesn’t belong in the original story. If Netflix follows the basics of the texts, this will not happen. As of now, the character has not appeared in season three, which could mean two things: that Eloise will never seek him out again, or that the romance between the two could continue in the upcoming episodes.
The chances of them having a happy ending are slim. According to the fifth volume of the “Brigerton” saga, entitled “To Sir Phillip, With Love”, Eloise falls in love with Phillip Crane, a widower with whom she maintains correspondence through correspondence after the death of his wife, Marina Thompson.
In one of the letters, Phillip proposes marriage to Eloise and she, after thinking about the situation, decides to leave London to meet him in person without notifying him or his siblings, much to his surprise.
They both live in Phillip’s house and Eloise is responsible for looking after her lover’s children, who make her life difficult with their antics. After a while, the Bridgertons find out where Eloise is and decide to get married.
Theo’s appearance in the series may or may not directly affect Eloise’s story, since Netflix is known to make changes every season it releases. So it’s only a matter of time before we know whether Theo will meet Eloise again or not.
