NCIS Origins: When is the episode about Gibbs’ youth coming out?
The American channel CBS announced at the beginning of May 2024 the order of this NCIS prequel. This new series will be scheduled to air on the network at the beginning of the school year in September of that year for the 2024/2025 season to be offered to viewers on Monday evenings at 10pm in the United States.
An exact overseas release date for NCIS: Origins is currently unknown. We also do not know where the series will be seen in France.

NCIS Origins: Who will play Gibbs and his partners?
Actor Austin Stowell has been tapped by producers and CBS to play the character played by Mark Harmon for nearly two decades.
He was seen on television in 90210, NCIS: Los Angeles (for one episode, in a completely different role), The Secret Life of the Ordinary Teen, Catch-22, Breathe, and A Friend of the Family. On the film side, we’ve seen him in The Incredible Story of Winter’s Dolphin (and its sequel), The Swallow, Bridge of Spies, Nightmare Island, and the romantic comedy Best Enemies.
Kyle Schmid (Mike Franks), Mariel Molino (Lala Dominguez), Tila Abercrumby (Mary Jo Sullivan) and Diane Rodriguez (Vera Strickland) will rematch against Austin Stowell. Together they will form the NCIS team.
Daniel Bellom, Caleb Martin Foote, Robert Taylor, Patrick Fischler, and Julian Black Antelope have been announced as series regular cast members.
NCIS Origins: Will Mark Harmon Play Gibbs Again?
Mark Harmon appears in the credits of NCIS: Origins… but not in the way you’d hope! In fact, the actor will only appear on screen as a voiceover to tell the story of young Gibbs’ adventures. The star will also work in the shade as an executive producer for this project.

A very short first trailer (seen above) has already been released, but not much is revealed… on the other hand, an image of Austin Powell in the skin of the iconic special agent has been revealed to the public (see also earlier this article).
NCIS Origins: Where are the other series in the franchise?
Parent series NCIS has been renewed for 22 seasons and NCIS: Sydney will have a 2nd season. NCIS: Tony & Ziva (which follows the adventures of… Tony and Ziva) is coming soon to Paramount+, while NCIS: Hawaii was recently canceled at the end of its 3rd season.
