Together again at Vasco, Felipe and Pedrinho have already coached another club, in Rio

Current president of Cruz-Maltino, Pedrinho will be joined once again by the ‘Maestro’, who this week took on the role of technical director

Vasco fans will be able to see the Felipe-Pedrinho duo working together once again, but this time off the pitch. While one is the president of Cruz-Maltino, the other took on the role of technical director this week.

In fact, it won’t be the first time that the great friends will work together off the pitch. In 2017 Felipe and Pedrinho were respectively coach and assistant of Tigres do Brasil in the first rounds of the Campeonato Carioca. Both completed the CBF coaching license and received the opportunity at the Baixada Fluminense club.

Felipe returns to Vasco after the team’s historic defeat

However, the duo’s time at Tigres was short-lived. In total, they led the team in seven matches, with only one win, three draws and three more defeats. The two asked to leave the club after the seventh match. At the time the team suffered relegation to the Campeonato Carioca.

With the meeting, this time in São Januário, Felipe arrives in a moment of crisis and after the 6-1 defeat suffered by Flamengo in the Brasileirão. His last assignment was at Volta Redonda, as coach, in this year’s State Championship, when he finished in tenth place with nine points in 11 days played.

Vasco, 14th in the Brasileirão, returns to the field next Thursday (13th) to face Palmeiras, away from home, at 9.30pm (Brasilia time).
