After six seasons, the creator of Peaky Blinders decided to continue the adventures of the Shelby family in a feature film to end the series. Announced for 2021, the film — which replaces Season 7 — is still awaited.

And finally we have news on the Peaky Blinders feature film! Netflix, which has revived the broadcast rights to the series, announced that it has officially greenlit the film on the platform’s social networks.
And because good news never comes alone, Cillian Murphy has announced that he’s back! The famous interpreter of Thomas Shelby, who recently won an Oscar for his performance in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, shared a few words with fans:
“Thomas Shelby isn’t done with me… It’s great to be working with Stephen Knight and Tom Harper again on the film adaptation of Peaky Blinders. We dedicate it to the fans.”
Production on the Peaky Blinders movie is expected to begin later this year. If the screenplay is written by Stephen Knight, the director was assigned to Tom Harper (Agent Stone), who had already directed the episodes of the first season of Peaky Blinders.
The official synopsis for the Peaky Blinders movie has yet to be revealed, but Stephen Knight has confirmed that the story will be set during World War II.
