Noa Argamani, 25 years old; Almog Meir Jan, 21; Andrey Kozlov, 27; Shlomi Ziv, 40, is in good health, the IDF said.

The Israeli army said it released alive this Saturday (8) four hostages who had been under Hamas control for eight months.

According to the Israeli army, the four hostages, three men and one woman, were kidnapped at the Nova music festival on October 7 and taken to hospital for medical tests. The rescue efforts took place in two separate locations in the al-Nuseirat area.

They have been identified as:

  • Noa Argamani25 years old;
  • Almog Meir Jan21 years;
  • Andrei Kozlov27 years old;
  • Shlomi Ziv40 years.

In a statement, the Israeli military said the four were “in good health” but were taken to a hospital in Israel for tests, where they were also reunited with their relatives.

“They are in good medical condition and have been transferred to the ‘Sheba’ Tel-HaShomer medical center for further medical examinations,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) added.

The four hostages, according to the Israeli government, were in two separate prisons in the center of Nuseirat, a Palestinian refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip. There was an intense firefight during the rescue operation, which had been planned for weeks, according to the Israeli army spokesman. Daniele Hagari.

“It was a high-risk mission, conducted in broad daylight. We were under fire during the entire rescue, even inside the buildings,” Haagari said.

About 130 hostages kidnapped during the group’s October 7 invasion of southern Israel remain in terrorists’ hands.

Gaza Ministry of Health

Gaza’s Health Ministry, controlled by the group, said 50 people died Saturday in Nuseirat and other areas of the central Gaza Strip, but did not say whether the deaths were linked to the hostage rescue operation.
