Maya gets revenge on Quentin

At the park, Leonard and Vic tell Malik what Maya learned about Quentin: he was the one who caused the accident that cost their parents their lives. In fact, the young boy, then 11 years old, became enraged by throwing an object in the face of his father, who lost control of the car. Vicki adds that Maya cried all night.

The latter joins his friends ready for the exams. Leonard suggests that she talk to Quentin before the test, but Maya flatly refuses. She is very angry at him for lying to her and feels that she cannot forgive him for being responsible for her parents’ death. Leonard grabs his best friend’s hand to comfort him.

In the kitchen, Hortense greets the students who have come to take their exams. Quentin joins them as agreed with the teachers. Chef Leroy arrives in turn and explains the process of the test, where method and precision are essential. Indeed, teachers circulate among students and observe their work to detect minor technical errors. In this case they will give a red card to the offending pair, which means 2 points less than their score. After that, Leroy announces the dishes the students will have to prepare: monkfish blanket for first year, pearl eggs with crème d’époise for second year, and Brace chicken with breaded mushrooms and apple souffle for third year.

Feeling the stress building, Jimmy asks Maya to focus. Unfortunately, the young woman makes a mistake with the fish and their partner receives a red card. Maya promises Jim that she’ll pay him back later, but she’s particularly attentive to Quentin’s work. He takes advantage of the latter going to the commissary to exchange his nuts for lemongrass. A gesture that does not escape Malik. The latter immediately informed Leonardo. The two boys suggest that Maya should push her brother to prevent him from applying to graduate school.

At the end of the test, Quentin comes to congratulate Maya on her dish, which appears to be a success. He is also confident in his dish. Maya then reveals to him that she sabotaged him on purpose to get revenge after learning the truth about their parents’ accident. Quentin wants to discuss this, but Maya refuses to listen to his explanations.

Chef Listrac will join Chef LeRoy and Chef Rochemont on the judging panel. Together, they evaluate the couples’ dishes and award points. Jasmine and Kelly are 20/20. Malik and Leonard get 19 and Maya and Jimmy get 18. As for Quentin, whose dish is a great success, he is given 20 points. Furious, Maya leaves the kitchen and slams the door.

Malik and Leonard find her in the park. Ignoring Quentin’s calls, Maya doesn’t understand how she managed to succeed in her cooking test when he sabotaged her. Her friends try to get her to contact him again. Maya finally realizes that they are the ones who fixed the situation to save Quentin’s day. Malik takes full responsibility for this behavior, forcing Maya to give her brother a chance. Very angry, Maya gets mad at Malik and asks him to leave as she doesn’t want to see him anymore…

Laetitia discovers that Maya has a lover

After an argument with Lionel, Kelly spends the night with Laetitia, who is still struggling to get over her breakup with Stanislas. Mother and daughter console each other with cakes for breakfast.

Later, Antoine notices that Laetitia is looking away. A young woman half-heartedly confides her personal situation. Antoine, who knows how to read between the lines, advises her to stop seeing Maya to avoid suffering.

Laetitia then goes to Double A to warn Stanislas that she is going to stop visiting Maya in the hospital. She also informs him that she is going to tell him that she has fallen in love with him, without specifying that this is going further between them, but prefers to leave it at that to keep Stanislas happy. The latter is very upset. He admits to Laetitia that he would have continued his relationship with her if things had been different.

On the way to the hospital, Laetitia surprises Maya in the company of a man. They all seem close. As soon as he leaves, Leticia approaches Maya, who confirms that she is his lover. She adds that Stanislaus does not know about her business and hopes for Laetitia’s discretion on the subject.

David and Bill’s coaching pays off

In the kitchen, David and Bill are ready for the final test. Leroy announces that the second years should make a pearl egg with crème d’epoisses. David and Billy can’t believe their luck: they trained on the Pearl Egg with Hippolyte the day before! A couple who focus on the recipe avoid red cards.

At the end of the test, their plate will be tasted by a jury consisting of Listrak, Hortense and Leroy. Everyone agrees that their dish is technically a success. Only the crème d’epoisses didn’t taste exactly as expected. The pair is given a score of 16/20.

Later, David and Bill are happy with their exam grades and hope to improve. Hortense comes in person to congratulate them on the plate. He admits he was impressed the pair didn’t receive a red card.

David and Billy then meet Hippolyte at a cafe downtown to toast their success and thank them for their preparation. In return, Hippolytus thanks David for returning to him and proving to him that he must change his ways.
