Elvis Star Austin Butler Reveals He Got Great Acting Advice From Rami Malek
Biographies are always a challenge for the actor who takes on the role, even more so if he is a musician who has become even more famous after his untimely death.
it’s no surprise that Austin Butler have been nervous to live Elvis Presleybut the actor got some great acting advice from his colleague Rami Malekwho interpreted Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody (2019).
Butler revealed to Entertainment Tonight Online what Malik advised him to make the most of each day despite his nervousness, because he would fondly remember everything in the future.
He said, ‘You know what? These days will likely end up becoming his favorite days and Ramie I couldn’t be more sure about that… I was terrified every time before I went on stage… But Elvis said that too.
“I was very nervous and afraid of the big numbers and the extras, and going there and performing in front of everyone,” he confessed. Butler.
The actor said that once he saw that nervousness was bullshit and that he could indulge on stage, those really became some of his favorite moments of the production.
Those first few songs, once you play them and think, ‘OK, nobody’s going to throw a stone at me, that’s fine.’ Then you feel that connection and you can engage with the audience. There were days I didn’t even want the day to end.
