After Portugal’s defeat against Georgia, a man jumped towards the star and was stopped by security guards
A fan jumped from the stands towards Cristiano Ronaldo after the match between Portugal and Georgiathis Wednesday, 26. The Portuguese team lost two nil, but even so CR7 continued to arouse the admiration of the fans. The fan was stopped before it could reach the star.

In a video posted on social media, the fan appears to fall from the stands, almost hitting Cristiano Ronaldo. As he fell to the ground, however, a security guard stepped in front of the player to protect him from the impact and slammed the man to the ground.
As a result, both the security guard and the fan fell down the stairs leading to the locker room tunnel. Despite the scare, the star was not injured. No details have been released about the fan’s identity or his condition after the fall.

Portugal’s defeat against Georgia did not eliminate the Portuguese side from the competition. Portugal has qualified for the round of 16 of the European Championship. In the next phase the club will face Slovenia on 1 July.
