The management invites ‘SOS Missing Children’ and the Marielle Franco Institute to participate in the episodes
The series “Os Others”, which tells the story of conflicts between neighbors in a condominium in Barra da Tijuca, will mix reality and fiction in the second season. The plot will address the inclusion of real NGOs, introducing social themes into the plot.
Inclusion of NGOs
In search of her son, Cibele (Adriana Esteves) will meet other mothers who belong to the NGO FIA – SOS Missing Children. Sergio (Eduardo Sterblitch) will take office in the Rio City Council, with the participation of members of the NGO Criola, the Marielle Franco and AzMina institutes, the Grupo Arco-Íris, Rede Engajamundo and the CEAP (Centre for the Articulation of Marginalized Populations).
“The intention was to embrace reality and fiction to explain the social dimension that is so important for the series, to be careful when touching on such delicate topics that need to be discussed,” explains artistic director Luisa Lima to Ancelmo Gois’ article in the newspaper Il globo. The initiative involved Globo’s Social Value area to map and choose the institutions that participated in the recordings, all based in Rio de Janeiro.
Written by Lucas Paraizo, artistic direction by Luisa Lima, produced by Luciana Monteiro and genre direction by José Luiz Villamarim, “Os Others” is a Globoplay Original, produced by Estúdios Globo. The new season will debut on August 15.
