Deadpool’s first appearance in theaters was in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” However, the portrayal of the anti-hero in this film was very different from the comics, which displeased fans and Ryan Reynolds himself, who played Deadpool.

Despite this, it is interesting to watch this film before the solo Deadpool films. The subsequent films contain numerous jokes and references to the version of the character shown in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”.

The film itself, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” was also not well received by audiences and critics. Serving as a spin-off and prequel to the classic “X-Men” trilogy, the story explores the origin of Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman.

The film is directed by Gavin Hood (of “Tsotsi,” which won the 2006 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film) and also stars Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston and Dominic Monaghan.

A critical and commercial success, “Deadpool” was the first film to portray the title character in a comic book-like manner, as fans have always desired. Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson/Deadpool after the failure of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”

In the plot, Wade, a former soldier turned mercenary, discovers he has terminal cancer. A recruiter offers him an experimental treatment that promises a cure. However, Wade is subjected to a tortuous experiment that grants him accelerated healing powers but leaves him disfigured.

So, he becomes Deadpool and seeks revenge on whoever is responsible. The film is directed by Tim Miller and stars Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, TJ Miller, Gina Carano and Brianna Hildebrand.

Replicating the success of the previous film, “Deadpool 2” returns with its references, ironies and graphic violence.

Ryan Reynolds is back as Deadpool, this time forming X-Force to protect a young mutant from the time-traveling soldier Cable, played by Josh Brolin.

The cast also includes Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, TJ Miller, Brianna Hildebrand and Jack Kesy. Directed by David Leitch, known for “Atomic Blonde” and “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.”
