Netflix: You will finally know the ending of this iconic series!

Nostalgia when it catches us… Many viewers value the memory of TV series from their childhood. For some, it was Dorothée’s club programs that evoked their first television emotions. The popular show offered the quintessential Dragon Ball Z and Knights of the Zodiac, but also other hits like Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon.

The original ending did not play out

Sailor Moon, let’s talk about it. The animated adaptation of Naoko Takeuchi’s manga is among Club Dorothée’s most emblematic successes. Produced by Toei Animation studio, the series consisted of 200 episodes, which were broadcast in Japan from March 1992 to February 1997. The show’s end in August 1997 prompted fans to discover the program’s fifth and final season on DVD, without the French dubbing.

Among Japan’s highest-grossing franchises, Sailor Moon has been the subject of numerous spin-off series as well as live-action drama adaptations. In celebration of the manga’s twentieth anniversary, a new adaptation called Sailor Moon Crystal was released with a duration of three seasons. A success, Season 4 took the form of a two-part movie called Sailor Moon Eternal.

Will the fans be there?

This feature film was released directly on Netflix in France, without a cinema box. Still, countless fans of the franchise were there for this new production. And no doubt they’ll be around again for the release of the new movie – also in two parts – called Sailor Moon Cosmos.

In this new adventure, the heroes are targeted by a mysterious enemy. The story is not new, as it adapts the final narrative arc of Naoko Takeuchi’s manga. Viewers who never got to see the end of the original series after the end of Club Dorothée will finally be able to discover the true ending of Sailor Moon!
