Logan Sargeant could be replaced in the next F1 races after his accident in the Dutch GP.
A motorsports publication claims the team is already thinking about replacing him.
After yet another incident involving Williams driver Logan Sargeant, this time in FP3 before qualifying for the Dutch GP, the team boss was very angry and has already started discussions with those responsible for choosing a new name for the team’s second car, according to an article published in Self-propelled and SportsGerman daily newspaper specializing in motorsports.
Williams team principal James Volwes has already begun talks to replace him, but said he would not make any decisions at this time. “I don’t want to make an emotional decision at this time,” he said, admitting the limit had been reached.
Another issue the team is facing this weekend, which marks the return of teams and drivers after the European summer holidays, is the disqualification of another driver, Alex Albon, from the qualifiers, due to irregularities found by F1 on the car. As a result, both Williams drivers will start from the back of the grid.
The Dutch GP race, which could already be Logan Sargeant’s last, will start on Sunday (25), at 10am Brasilia time, with broadcast starting at 9.30am on Band.
