Netflix: Sci-fi series adapted from the legendary saga releases its raunchy trailer

From August 29 – Judgment Day in the world of Terminator – the Netflix platform launches the animated series Terminator Zero, created by the Japanese studio Production IG, behind the classic Ghost in the Shell. To accompany the release, the streaming giant revealed a new uncensored trailer that focuses on the violent sequences. In the show: severed limbs, blood everywhere and impressive action scenes.

The creator of the program, Mattson Tomlin, has already warned about the explicit nature of the series. in the columns of the journal EmpireThe showrunner explained that he wanted to push the horror of the previous films further: “I wanted to focus more on the body horror and slasher spirit of the first film, similar to Friday the 13th or Nightcrawler.“

Among the inspirations behind Terminator Zero, Mattson Tomlin turned to J-Horror, a term for Japanese-style horror. “We focused on the dark side and decided what to show and what to leave invisible.“, he added.

What will the series be about?

The synopsis for this eight-episode series is as follows: “2022 year. For decades, a war has raged between a few surviving humans and an endless army of machines. 1997 The AI ​​known as Skynet became self-aware and started a war against humanity.“
