The singer was diagnosed with the disease early last year after feeling ill at her home in Rio de Janeiro. In December, she celebrated the end of treatment after reconstructing part of her intestinal tract, but stressed that she would continue the rehabilitation process and medical monitoring for five years.

However, last Sunday she released the following statement: “This week I was admitted to the Sírio-Libanês Hospital, in São Paulo, for routine tests and it was found that I had to resume oncology treatment,” the statement reads. According to the singer, she has two compromised lymph nodes, a metastasis in the peritoneum and a nodule in the ureter.
