After giving Dune a prequel series with Dune: Prophecy, Legendary Entertainment is preparing to do the same for another saga, Pacific Rim. The development of the franchise’s origin story is actually being done through Eric Heiserer’s independent studio-produced series (Shadow and Bone, Bird Box, Arrival), a timeline he recently created with Carmen Lewis.

Remember, in the world Pacific RimHumanity had to build the Jaegers, massive, mechanized warriors piloted by the bravest and brightest of our fellow humans from around the world, to defend against an invasion of colossal transdimensional beings known as Kaiju.
It started in 2013 Pacific Rim – Guillermo del Toro’s feature film starring Charlie Hunnam, which was a phenomenal success in China – the saga has spread to other media, notably television, with the animated series on Netflix, Pacific Rim: The Black. A second installment was also released in 2018, Pacific Rim Uprising, directed by Stephen S. By Daynight, with John Boyega.
Eric Heiserer Most recently, he served as showrunner, executive producer and writer Shadow and Bone: Grisha’s Sagawhich aired on Netflix for two seasons. He previously wrote the hit Sandra Bullock film, Bird boxand a sci-fi thriller arrival Directed by Denis Villeneuve, which earned him an Oscar nomination and a WGA Award.
