After being shown at the Venice Film Festival last Sunday (1st), the film I’m Still Here got its first trailer this Monday (2).
Directed by Walter Sallesthe film is inspired by the book of the same name by Marcelo Rubens Paiva. The plot tells the story of Marcelo’s family, with emphasis on his mother, Eunice Paiva.
She spent years fighting to discover the whereabouts of her husband, the former deputy Rubens Paivadisappeared during the military dictatorship.
I’m Still Here stars Fernanda Torres and Selton Mellowith special participation of Fernanda Montenegro.
The film is an original Globoplay production and the first directed by Salles in 12 years. The official release date has not yet been set.

10 minutes of applause
According to information from Flavia Guerra, from Uol, I’m Still Here brought the audience to tears at the Venice Film Festival. The emotion included Marcelo Rubens Paiva himself, who was present at the screening.
In addition, the film, which is Brazil’s big bet for the 2025 Oscars, was applauded for about 10 minutes at the end of the session. Check out a recording:
