The 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards released their list of nominees for the 74th annual awards this Tuesday, which will crown the best in television and streaming of the year.
HBO garnered 140 nominations, with the return of “Euphoria”, “Succession” and “Barry” all barred from the fray in 2021, an increase of 10 nominations from the year before. Netflix follows, with a steep drop from 129 nominations in 2021 to 105 this year. Then came Hulu, with 58 nominations from “Only Murders In The Building,” and Apple TV + with 51 nominations.
Netflix has won the most awards, but its drama series “The Crown” is not in the running this year. On the other hand, he now has “Stranger Things”, “Ozark” and “Round 6”.
The 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Monday 12 September.
