The feature film, written and directed by Daniel O’Teil, is part of the film noir tradition, with trial scenes, but not only that. The film tells the story of a lawyer and a father accused of murdering his wife.

The Wire is based on a true story, around which Daniel Ottel, along with co-writer Steven Mitz, imagined other people and the atmosphere characteristic of the film.
“This is a true story, this is a lawyer named Maitre Mô (Maître Jean-Yves Moyart) who ran a blog. This lawyer died three years ago. He did a collection of short stories, and in it is a story about this trial, this case. Then we had to create characters, but the criminal case is discussed in this story and it is really a true story.”. and added: “I wanted a feature film, I didn’t want a documentary“.
