Nothing is going right for our heroine in Emily Season 4 Episode 2 in Paris, which Netflix just released online after a month of waiting. After getting closer to Gabrielle, their romance is threatened once again by Camille (who after all isn’t pregnant)… and a newbie. The Netflix series welcomes a brand new female character, and it will revolve around our French chef.
Introduced in the trailer as an American who recently joined the Grateau agency, we discover that she is actually Laurent’s (Sylvie’s husband) daughter from a previous relationship. This young woman of about twenty discovered, like her predecessor, the French life, after having spent her whole life in New York.
And this is the local actress that the teams chose: Talia Besson. Yes, this is Luc Besson’s daughter. Born in 2001 to producer Virginie Silla, he followed in his father’s footsteps, but in front of the camera!
Great opportunity!
The 23-year-old actor is not his first experience on the set. He also got his first job thanks to his father. He makes a brief appearance in the 2017 film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. But only in 2022 he was offered the main role.
He is one of the main characters in the horror film Arthur, Curse, written by Luc Besson, which tells the story of a group of teenagers who are locked in the house where Arthur and the Minimoys were filmed. And if it was received rather coldly by the press and the audience, it allowed the young Thalia Besson to add a line to her filmography.
But today he’s making a big splash thanks to Emil in Paris. The international impact of the series will undoubtedly allow him to open up his career prospects a little more. And maybe keep Netflix stable if its performance convinces viewers…
Emily in Paris Seasons 1 through 4 are available on Netflix.
