Netflix has announced that they are set to partner with ‘Stranger Things’ creators The Duffer Brothers for a wide range of new projects that may come in the future.
Announced via the Netflix Twitter account, the streaming giant revealed that they will be working with Matt and Ross Duffer and their new production companyUpside Down Pictures, in a variety of new content.
“The Duffer Brothers have formed Upside Down Pictures, a new production company through which they will develop film and television projects as part of their overall deal with Netflix. Here is a sneak peek at some of the projects that are currently IN DEVELOPMENT“, They commented from the platform.
Series currently in production include a live-action television adaptation of the Japanese manga and anime series Death Note, an adaptation of Stephen King and Peter Straub’s The Talisman, and an original series from creators Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews called Dark Crystal: Age. of Resistance.
In a statement about the new company (via Deadline), the brothers said it will allow them to create “stories that take place at that beautiful crossroads where the ordinary meets the extraordinary, where great spectacle co-exists with intimate character work.” , where the heart overcomes cynicism”.

Netflix also revealed that a “new stage play set in the world and mythology of Stranger Things” is also in the works and will be produced by Sonia Friedman, Stephen Daldry (The Crown) and Netflix.
News of a ‘Stranger Things’ play follows the confirmation of a spin-off series from the hit production last month.

Although we can see more projects coming out of the Duffer’s head, we must not forget that the 5th season of the series is still missing, which will be the last and that will solve all the mysteries that remain to be solved.
