The Military Police arrested this Sunday morning 10 people (15) due to their involvement in the clashes between fans of Flamengo and Vasco da Gama, in the Tanque neighborhood, located in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The two teams will face each other at 18:30, for the Brazilian Championship.
According to the 18th Battalion (Jacarepaguá) command, police responded to a call for intervention in a widespread brawl between fans of the two clubs. Officers worked to disperse the confusion and arrested the suspects.
Two injured people went to the Emergency Care Unit of Taquara (UPA). However, so far, there is no information on their identity or health status.
The Prime Minister also said that he had intensified policing in the entire area.
