Increases search for cell phone consortium up to R$ 1 thousand: which one to choose?

The survey conducted by Klubi highlights the most sought-after value for the purchase of a new appliance

Summary

Fintechs authorized to operate with consortia reveal unprecedented data on the preference for cell phones up to 1,000 reais, in the face of difficulties in accessing credit and purchasing more expensive models.

A survey of the Clubsfintech authorized by the Central Bank to operate with consortia in the country, brings unprecedented information to the mobile phone market. The research shows that mobile phone consortia are targeting devices with a price of R $ 1,000. The data was obtained by calculating arithmetically the value most requested by the consortium members to the operator.

This value shows that many consumers are looking for “entry-level” models, which is in line with research by Hibou, specialized in market analysis, which highlights how the high prices of the most recent models have made it difficult for approximately 36% of consumers to change their cell phones.

Another difficulty for consumers is access to credit: according to the National Conference of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC), approximately 79% of Brazilians have debt, which makes it difficult, for example, to access a credit card and prevents them from planning a change of cell phone.

Having been cooperating with mobile consortia for about a year, Klubi launched Purchase Planned, which offers the possibility of purchasing a smartphone in a period of up to 24 months, and from the 6th monthly payment there is the possibility of redeeming 100% of the credit. During this time, the product elevated Klubi to the level of the largest electronic consortium administrator.

“Buying a mobile phone through a consortium has proven to be a more convenient and short-term alternative to changing devices, making financial planning easier for consumers,” emphasizes Eduardo Rocha, CEO of Klubi.
