Monitoring camera images circulating on social media show the moment the newly installed pipe exploded in a construction area on the highway, sending human waste more than 10 meters into the air in a sort of orange cloud.
Cameras installed on the dashboards of cars traveling in the region also captured the moment when the windshields were covered in dirt.

Pedestrians were also surprised by the accident, while motorcyclists had to travel on the pavement to avoid the dirt. Some cars were also damaged.
“I’m covered in feces, my car is all stained yellow, it’s ruined,” a driver told the British tabloid The sun.
According to the authorities, the accident occurred on the morning of Tuesday 24th, during pressure tests on the newly installed pipes.
Shortly after the explosion, the pipeline was contained and an emergency clean-up operation was quickly organised. Authorities are also investigating the incident to prevent repeat explosions at the site.
